Find the box “Browse Courses ” in the top right-hand corner of the main screen. Click the category of interest to you.

| How do I enroll in individual courses or certificate programs? | |
Individual Courses and Test-Out Quizzes - To enroll in a course or test-out quiz, just click the course title and you will be taken to the payment screen. Certificate Programs - When you enroll in certificate programs, you are automatically enrolled in the appropriate courses. Once enrolled, you will have direct access to your courses from the main screen (My Courses). |

| How do I pay for the certificate programs or courses? | |
Fees are payable through PayPal, the nation’s oldest and most reliable payment transfer company. For information about how PayPal works, click here. There are no fees to you for signing up and using PayPal. |

| How do I know if my internet access and web browser are set up properly? | |
Most courses require no special setup and can be accessed using telephone-based modems. Some programs, especially the multimedia-based ones, do require high-speed internet access, the Flash player plugin, and, in one instance, the browser must be set to accept cookies. | What is the cost for each course or for complete certificate programs? | |
Continuing Medical Education. Cost vary according to the number of credit hours. AAPA CMEs are available at $15 per hour. Medical Coding. The cost per course is $795. A 25% discount will be offered to individuals who opt to complete all courses in a certificate program. A special discount schedule is offered for organizations. Please check under “Policies and Procedures” for more details. |

| Is there any financial aid? | |
Our company does not offer any financial aid, but some organizations do assist their employees financially in furthering their education, refreshing their skills, or acquiring certification. |

| How long does it take to complete each course? | |
Courses are self-directed and are available for completion for a period of six months from the time of registration. It usually takes 48 to 120 hours of work to complete each coding course. Healthcare professional education courses are individually timed and noted in the course descriptions. |

| Is there a passing grade for your courses? | |
Continuing Medical Education. A 70% or above score is required for all continuing medical education courses. Most courses have separate quizzes for each unit. Medical Coding. An 80% success rate in completing lesson quizzes or final examinations is required for each Medical Coding course. You must successfully complete all courses within a Certificate Program in order to receive the certificate. |

| Can I "test out" of any courses within a program? | |
Medical Coding. Students with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the content may test out from the following courses:
The test fee is $50. If you use this option and do not achieve a passing score of 80%, the test fee will be applied toward the course fee if you choose to enroll. |

| Can I repeat quizzes and tests? | |
You have unlimited amount of tries to successfully pass the quiz until the required success rate is achieved. However, remember to complete each course within the six months allowable period. |

| What is the intended audience for these programs and courses? | |
Our courses are designed to impart knowledge and provide training to beginning, intermediate and experienced students. Most CME courses include a review of the basics before moving into more advanced material. We believe this establishes common ground between the learner and the course so there is no confusion regarding use of terms, etc. In our Medical Coding Programs, we have an Introductory Course, a course in basic Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology and comprehensive courses in ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding. So, these courses are designed for individuals who want to start a new career or make a change in their current occupation, for those who want to refresh knowledge or gain CEUs, or to prepare for national certification exams. We encourage all who successfully complete our programs, to take the certification courses provided by nationally-recognized medical coding and billing organizations. By acquiring the provided credentials you obtain a definite asset and increase the chance of successful future employment. |

| Is there an Instructor for each course? | |
We provide Mentors for each course who are fully involved in directing each course. Each Mentor is available via e-mail to answer all of your questions regarding the course. |

| What are the qualifications of your Mentors? | |
Besides having impressive credentials, our Mentors have been actively working in their professional areas. Their active involvement in the utilization and practical application of what is being taught guarantees that all official updates are constantly incorporated into course content. Our Mentors have been instrumental in the development of these courses. |

| Is there any particular order in which these courses should be taken? | |
Medical Coding. Yes, if you are taking the billing or coding courses. We recommend that you take the basic courses prior to enrolling in the more advanced ones. Within each certificate program and in the course descriptions, courses are listed in the recommended order. |

| Are your courses approved for Continuing Education Credits? | |
Continuing Medical Education. Our continuing medical education courses are currently approved as Category 1 courses by AAPA. The number of credits corresponds to the number of contact hours. Medical Coding. Yes, our medical coding courses are approved by AHIMA for CEUs. Our coding programs, for example, are approved for ten CEUs, or two CEUs per course. Other courses are now in the process of approval. |

| Is your Veterans Administration Medical Coding Certificate Program officially approved by the VA? | |
We have not sought or received VHA approval. We developed this coding program based on coding services that we have provided to VA Medical Centers and our subsequent knowledge of VHA coding practices. |

| May I take just one course or do I have to take the complete Program? | |
Students can elect to take as many, or as few courses, as they wish. Keep in mind, however, that each course expires 6 months from the day you enroll. |

| How many courses do I need to complete to receive the Medical Coding or Billing Program Certificate? | |
All courses in the Programs need to be completed to receive the Program Certificate. For example, our Hospital Medical Coding Certificate Program contains four courses. All four courses need to be completed to earn the certificate. Note that this may include testing out of the two basic courses. |

| Will the Certificates in Medical Billing or Coding assist me in finding a job? | |
The certificate of completion issued by our institute validates that a student has successfully completed the course requirements with a passing grade. Prospective employers can be referred to our website to review information on course content and discuss the program with a member of our staff. We do not guarantee that completing these programs will result in employment. It will place graduates at a higher standing against similar applicants who have no education in these subjects. Additionally, the completion of our courses provides a definite advantage for students who intend to take the national exam for a professional credential. |

| Will your company assist me in any way with employment in my area of study? | |
Our firm has a direct relationship with a staffing and placement company. We will try to assist successful students in finding employment and/or both paid and unpaid internships. We do not guarantee placement and/or employment. |
